Learning to Do, Doing to Learn, Earning to Live, Living to Serve”

Welcome to Livingston High School’s Agriculture Program! We are very pleased to be starting another year of premier leadership, personal growth, and career success. We are a two person department with two Agriculture teachers; Mr. Randall, Department Chair and Miss. Pinheiro, FFA Advisor. We offer students with the Agriculture pathway which includes Agriculture Life Science, Agriculture Biology, Agriculture Earth Science, Floriculture, and Animal Anatomy & Physiology. At Livingston High School we are very fortunate to have our own farm facility on site, which houses a greenhouse, small animal unit, swine facility, and sheep and goat pens. We have around 200 students in the Agriculture program and we are looking to continue growing. All of our Agriculture students are members of the FFA organization, which is the largest student organization in the Nation. FFA is an intra-curricular part of all of our Agriculture classes. Our students are able to develop skills that will help them in their futures such as public speaking, responsibility, career and technical skills. All of our students must attend and participate in six FFA activities per semester as part of their grade. Our students also have the opportunity of showing animals at the Merced County Fair in June. We are very proud of our program and know it will only continue to get stronger! Please check out the rest of our website including our calendar of events for the 2012-2013 school year.
