Course Overview:
In addition to participating in regular studio work, Honors students complete extensive reading and writing assignments, keep a sketchbook and complete a presentation portfolio. The class is designed for the serious art student who is preparing for university studies in art.
Supplies:
Students will need to check out a copy of the Art in Focus textbook from the library.
Grading:
Students grades will be based on 50% of their class grade and 50% for their art honors assignments.

Late Policy:
It is important that students are present for every class period, however, we don’t live in a perfect world and students will be absent due to appointments, etc. If a student misses class it will be the responsibility of the student to check what assignment he or she has missed.
Teacher/Parent Communication:
It has been my experience that effective communication between parent and teacher works. Students need to know that we care, and are on the same page. That is extremely important! After all, we all have the same goal, your child’s success, happiness and achievement.
