To be reclassified from English Learner (EL) to Reclassified Fluent English Proficient (RFEP), students must meet the following criteria:

1. CELDT (California English Language Development Test)
   • Overall CELDT score: Early Advanced or Advanced
   • CELDT Listening: Intermediate or higher
   • CELDT Speaking: Intermediate or higher
   • CELDT Reading: Intermediate or higher 
   • CELDT Writing: Intermediate or higher
2. California Standards Test: score of 300 or above on the English Language Arts portion
3. Grades of "C-" or better in English and social studies courses in one of the last two semesters
4. Parent consultation (include parent opinion and date of consultation)
