MUHSD Summit Program

The purpose of the Merced Union High School District Summit Program is to provide an opportunity for students to receive a high school diploma from their home school. The Summit Program is for students who have not yet met graduation requirements.

Students enrolled in the program will have:
  • two years to pass the CAHSEE from initial graduation date.
  • one year to complete up to 20 credits from initial graduation date.
Students will be offered CAHSEE English and Math prep courses in small group and individual support classes.  Test prep using technology is also offered.

Students needing additional credits may also be assigned an Independence High School teacher for credit recovery. Students needing credits are required to attend weekly appointments and complete homework in order to receive credits.

When the credits, if necessary, are completed and the CAHSEE is passed, students will receive a high school diploma from their home school.
